I have to confess something; I don’t really know what pandemic life is like. You see, I’ve been in New Zealand since October 2019 — before Covid-19 became a global crisis.

New Zealand has been relatively untouched by the scourge of covid during this time. We had a month or so of ‘level 4’ lockdown in which only essential services operated and we weren’t allowed to come into contact with anyone…
